driving school is a joke. we watched honey i shrunk the kids and i played on my phone and we corrected the teacher quite a few times cus she cant remember whats in the book. she didnt even grade out tests. crazy.

home has been great so far. i have gone out with good pals each and every night. i have spent a small forture in bar tabs. i registered my tags with dmv, ive reformatted my computer (boredom). ive watched a lot of movies. ive really enjoyed being here. tonite is family night.

6 days home. i fly home tomorrow. i will walk thru my door for the first time since July 8th. 7 weeks away or something like that. then gone again til early december (aside from the one show in richmond in october). i hope my stuff is okay and all my mail is waiting for me at the post office.

i was just kinda thinking yesterday... OH YEAH!!! i was supposed to take driving school before september. tomorrow i have to get on the interweb and track down a traffic school and try to get in a class for saturday otherwise my accident goes on my record and i have to pay a bunch of money. gay.

haircut

i got a haircut today. i feel worlds better. i found a hot dog place near my hotel that makes FUCKIN awesome hot dogs. there is a starbucks and a coffee bean in easy walking distance. i filled up my ipod. i cant fit all my video on my video one and now i cant fit all my audio on my audio one. i think maybe i said that before but i cant remember so i am telling you about it (again). i guess ill wait it out and see if they release a new version of the video before christmas and get a new one then.... anyone want a 40gig'er?

i have seen heaven

I have been to heaven and it's in Escondido, CA. Stone Brewing Co. It seriously was the best freaking crap ever. I spent 100 bucks in the gift shop and then had a stellar late lunch with an equally stellar beer. We (Bex) took a stroll in the gardens and then took a tour of the brewery. Seriously, the most perfect way to spend a Saturday. Totally worth the drive (which was a few hours). It really was a bit of my own personal heaven. Here are some pictures. Here are some pictures.

the tom green show has to be one of the most entertaining things i think i have done in my life. he really does the show in his living room. he really went to the kitchen during the show to go get more beer. he really is exactly the same person off camera that he is on camera. hysterical. I think today I am moving into Hollywood.

the viper room sucks. it really is nothing more than a room. there is a bar and some tables and a stage. i tiny stage. it only holds 170 people... and thats PACKED. anyways, im not exactly excited about going back will the full band. especially knowing i have to strike my whole set and put it back on the truck after sound check and then load it all back in and set it back up before show time. STUPID.

i got another new toy. a work station. i didnt pay the price on that page though. i got it for 350. it makes life a lot easier.

i saw the simpsons movie. not a good movie but a great long episode. it was enjoyable but not as much as i had hoped. i also bitched out some dude who was bitching out people in the theater. im not gonna say what i said to him, but i am going to say i think he deserved it.

today is the tom green show. i cant wait. this is the first tv and promo thing that i have actually been excited about. seems as if he only does the show on his website... right in his own living room. check it out at TomGreen.com.

Friday is day off (I think) and saturday Bex and I might try to head down to San Diego. I would like to visit a brewery there and maybe a record store. I have no idea what she wants to do. aaaaaaaaaanyways, bye bye.

Mom complains...

So yeah, I've been busy. I don't post as much. That isn't totally because I'm busy. I am having fun too. Most times I don't turn on my computer because I'm too busy socializing and having fun. Also, my new phone keeps my almost as connected as my computer can.

The last few days have been great. I got a good day off, a day of rehearsals, a show day, today is another day off. Did I mention I finally got some DVDs. I crested 600. I am at 602. I have also purchased 16 CDs on this trip. Totaling no more than 150 bucks. Not bad. Even better when you consider that I have been gone from home now one month. So breaking it down, thats like just over half of a weeks worth of per diem. 4 days of play money.

I watched 300. It was great. Today we will try to watch Hot Fuzz for the third time. Hopefully we won't fall asleep again. Maybe grill some hot dogs and kabobs. It's like social day I guess. Bye bye.

LA via Canada

Back in LA but not before mixing an acoustic show for Hanson. Just another in the list of things I hadn't written down on my things to do before I die list. It was a different perspective for me at a Hanson show. I sweat and was nervous and though it sounded like crap the whole time, but thats just how I am. I sweat and was nervous and thought it always sounded like shit at every show I've ever mixed. Once the lights went down and the van was packed we headed back to the hotel for 3 hours of sleep and then lobby call to fly back to LA. I made it to the lobby in time. I sat for 30 minutes and no one joined me. I went up and woke em all up. They didn't get their wake up calls. We got to the airport and Delta did everything but lick the soles of our shoes in order to get us on the plane in time even though we were really really late. They did it. It was amazing. Me and Delta saved our schedules. Awesome.

Back to LA. We're staying in a house for three weeks. It's jammin. Here are some pictures....
