cleveland rocks?

day off in cleveland. i got a hat for those mornings that i roll right out of my bunk and go to work and i got a magazine because someone important to me is in it. i also got a lot of freaking coffee. we all went out to dinner for punchy's birthday. it was fun. i spent my first night in a hotel room. big king sized bed. i still missed my bunk.

a day off

so today was a day off. i played video games. all freakin day. i got 470 gamer points today and finally beat gears of war on insane and my first run of bioshock.... in case you understand that.

im 90% sure ill be getting a fairly large tattoo when i get to richmond in december.

when mom calls...

so you know when mom calls that its been too long since your last post....

fun. good times. better times. i have been occupied. we finished canada like almost two weeks ago. my last experience there was bad. i bought something that was broken (not on purpose) and had to take it back the next day. cab ride was 60 bucks and they couldnt replace the one i bought. so i was just out 60 bucks.

a few days off in tulsa. i spent them well. japanese hibachi, phat phillies. lots of laying in bed. then electric tour kinda started. we did a state fair in oklahoma city and then a festival in tulsa. both HUGE shows. then our first actual tour date... dallas. we have new drum tech. shawn. hes doing great. back to tulsa for a day off. so really, weve been on tour for three shows and i havent spent one night away from home. okay okay, now were really are on tour. i left tulsa for something like 7 weeks as of late late monday night.

every second in tulsa was spent well.

Fun Facts of Me

Today I am in Edmonton. That is the most northern I have been in North America.

So I spent a day off in Vancouver. Oddly enough, the very same day that I moved to Tulsa, a friend of mine from Virginia moved to Vancouver. Luckily for me I got some time off at home since I moved. Gab hasn't. Luckily for me I moved to a city where I had a lot of friends already. Gab didn't. It was kinda neat to see someone so excited to see me. I can understand why. Even though it was far from VA and OK, seeing Gab was a lot like seeing part of both. We hung out a few times and I got to see her apartment. Seriously, I moved to the wrong city. Vancouver is freaking amazing. Please go. Its just an awesome place with a lot of people that are very nice and its super clean and cool. Gabs view is retarded. Shes on the 25th floor.

 

 

More Canada to come. Home in a few days. I love this tour, these people, but I am excited to get back for a few days.

day off

its the first day off of the tour. im staying in a hotel room that is bigger than my apartment. i have a beautiful view of downtown and i can even see the water. awesome.

the first couple of days of the tour are over and the verdict is.... acoustic shows are pretty easy. yeah, i have almost as many guitars as the full tour and i am the drum tech on this one as well as guitar tech but its a small stage plot and we only have to push in like half of the gear. yay. our bus is super awesome. seriously, super awesome. i have 6 electrical outlets in my bunk. two tvs in each end of the bus. i am watching my xbox in HD for the first time since my tv died after the spring tour.

the next few shows will be in canada. cant use my phone, cant use my money, cant use baby seals as charcoal. oh well. ill be back in the states in a matter of time.

cbs

I was supposed to wake up at 2:30am to do the cbs early show. Instead I just stayed up. My sleep patterns are super screwed up. I stayed up til like 5 thursday morning just to wake up at 7:30 to shower in time to get to the airport. Once I got to new york I slept for a long time and then couldn't pass out at all before it was time to show up at the tv studio. As soon as I am done here I fly to portland. Sadly I won't be able to make it out to any of the 35+ breweries that are there. Portland will be the first of 5 acoustic shows and then back home for a few days. Rock.

TOMORROW!!!!!

so tomorrow is my big day. i leave tulsa. tour tour tour tour tour. tour for just over two months, or as i like to think about it, just under three.

the bus got here today, i loaded the trailer. i am doing laundry right now and packing clothes as they dry. i will take my luggage, computer, and xbox to the bus later and drop them off. i am WICKED excited. who would have figured that going to work could be so freakin awesome?

in other news, seems like i forgot to get a $567.10 check from a guy back home. He called me yesterday and was like "why havent you deposited that check?". so i told him that i hadnt ever gotten one. so he deposited it for me. yay.
