i needed this day

sleep. recovery. my nose hurts. its runny. my head aches. aside from lunch, i have been in bed all freakin day. my mustache beside me. in 6 days i see my girlie, i will shave.

its halloween. i can see the manhattan skyline. i am not going anywhere cept to pee and get water. stupid nose.

family day

mom and rachel showed up. neato. havent seen my mom since the first couple of days of august soooo... just over two months. we hung out in the room for a little and then went to dinner. i treated them to mortons. mom and sister, correct me if im wrong, rachel has never stayed in a room with a minibar or water that costs 3.50 a bottle. mortons was awesome. i love steak. i think its important to do something every now and then that totally is beyond your means and makes you feel a little more important that daily life. mortons is like that for me. i hope it made them feel the same way. my mom travels with her own Splenda.

they are outside becoming stinky now. so i figured id sneak in a blog.

my face is rotting off.

this is my face. it sucks. it kinda hurts a little. it bled some. damn it. yes, i put lotion on all the time, its just what happens.

a new game

not much in this world can ever be as good as we expect it to be. especially when it is something that is marketed. as is the case for Fable 2. its a game. my friends and i have been waiting for it for like, a year. it came out today. i walked to a best buy and got it. back at the hotel i put it in the xbox. it didnt work. i walked back to the best buy and got another one. it worked. my brain, eyes, and hands belonged to it for the rest of the night. while i think its really really great...... i dont think its as great as we all expected it to be. in case you cared.

seems as if i am going to see my mom next week. maybe, using the wonders of webcam, she'll be able to meet the wonderful woman who has been watching over my apartment while i am gone. does that sound like a plan to either of you?

the tambourine man

So we encountered a problem with a piece of gear. this little dinky tambourine that clamps on to your hi-hat stand. they were designed to be an accent to the hi-hat. when you step on the hi-hat pedal, it makes a little tambourine sound. it wasnt meant to be beat on with a stick. weve gone through two this tour already. they just keep breaking under pressure. my drummer wants a tambourine he can hit with a stick, mount on the stand, and isnt so big that it gets in the way. so what did i do? i took this idea....

 

made one quick trip to the home depot for an aluminium dowel, a flat piece, and some screws and nuts and then i sat in the back alley of a venue in rhode island and made this.....

 

 

i used the jingles from the crappy tambourine and a hi-hat clutch to go about mounting it, but all of the other stuff, i made in a freakin alley. i bent the dowel around a sewer pipe. now thats tech'in. this thing isnt going to be breaking any time soon.

interstate lunch date

so after having her around a while, not having her around has kinda sucked. so BAM!!! webcam. while i sat in a hotel room, she sat in my apartment and i used papajohns.com to order her lunch and we sat together for hours and got to miss each other just a little less.

if you miss someone, get a webcam.

i got to see pat mcgee last nite. we played and he was there hanging out. neat. he brought me the new metallica cd. i have a feeling its going to suck even though he says its the new master of puppets. im seriously building a tambourine. i will have pictures and video when its done.

Ah, gold bond lotion. I never sweat without it. It says body lotion, but isn't. Hand lotion for your hands, face lotion for your face, and gold bond for your..... Well, guess. I got a new light bulb for my work box lamp too.

fun with family for lunch, fun with my best friend and some touring pals at the folk festival, fun with richmond pals at a bar until late late nite. i love home. quite a bit of me hates that im not here all the time. anne, dave, brandi, that was so special. the i to my y, i miss you. so many good friends i left when i relocated to tulsa. it was worth it, but i still miss so much of home.

saying bye bye

its really hard to walk away knowing that its the last time youre gonna see someone for like, 5 weeks. SUCK. this is not something i am used to.

when she came, she brought my mail. in it, my new check card. i have officially updated all of my online billing and any accounts that needed updating. i am 99% done with Suntrust. all i need to do now is close the account. in celebration, i used this new card at virgin megastore yesterday and got myself 6 new CDs.

i like music. i hung out in the audience with lil miss special before the show and when i went backstage i accidentally left them in her purse. she gave them back later and as i was opening then to load them on my computer, a note fell out. how sweet.

ok, so i know to most of you, saying there is only 5 weeks left on this tour is like... a long time. to me its almost over. ill be back in tulsa on something like november 17 or 18. thats 5 more paychecks. soooooooooooo... if im gonna take some time off after the tour and gather some ideas with what i will use to take up my time and pay my bills, i had better not spend a crap pile of money on something. I NEED A TV!! maybe the tattoo will have to wait. a tv and all the holiday traveling will be expensive enough. i dont need to add 1000 bucks for a freaking stain on my arm.

as far as holiday, im not sure what that means. i was under the impression that christmas was going to be spent apart and then i would have a guest in VA shortly after and then we would travel back to tulsa together. then ND was mentioned. we will see. ill be in richmond at some point.

as far as you hanson fans, its seriously a little creepy that you read this. it has nothing to do with hanson. i know there are plenty of you too, i can see how many people visit this page, and its a lot more than my family and certainly way more than when i am not on tour. creeeeeeeeepy. go visit a forum.

so i kinda got invited to north dakota for part of the holidays this year. ive never been there before. if it actually happens that will be state number 47 for me. leaving only montana and the two non continentals. i think the city i would be visiting is only about 2 hours from the most eastern part of montana. i say its worth the drive.

at this point, this is all just a huge maybe. i mean, if she wants me to, ill go.

overly random.

so i got a haircut already today, i got the new iced earth cd and i got some new flip flops. i also got 80 gamer points already today. awesome.

so i got to spend the last few days seeing my new favourite person. it was awesome. i met lots of her friends and she met lots of mine. i think that i came across pretty kick ass and they liked me. i mean, really....

now im holed up in a really nice hotel in a cool city that i dont even care to go out and see. im gonna play video games and blah blah blah. i took a long shower and i think im just gonna plop down on my king sized bed and enjoy sitting in my underwear. tomorrow i get the locks for my toolbox. yay.

aaaaaahhhhh

a day off. and im kinda excited cus my certain someone will be here in a few hours. and my pillow has "sweet dreams " embroidered on it. i shaved today for the first time in like, two weeks. i look 12. no xbox today. the bus is too far away from this hotel for me to walk and im not taking a cab to play video games. i took a cab yesterday. it was 46 dollars round trip. i went and bought that certain someone a present. i'd tell you what it is but she might just read about it on here while driving down the road. so i wont. heres i hint though, its not a dead pony.
