merry atheistmas.

so its christmas. im at my parents. hi mom, hi dad. i cant sleep well these days. i havent really relaxed enough since jennifer and i left tulsa for me to fall asleep and really get the rest that i need. i went to bed last nite at about 2 and woke up this morning at 5:30. i dont like waking up and leaving her in the bed. i enjoy our mornings together but i would have been laying in bed over 4 hours waiting for her to wake up. i dont know if i should drink coffee or not.

i had to be in a stupid picture cus my mom wanted one of us. so im in a stupid picture now. dammit.

The last nite.

This is our last evening in north dakota. Its even colder than it was when we got here. Last nite it was -18 even before you took windchill and even in that kind of cold we went to a wedding. Let me tell ya something, your mind works in a totally different way while at a wedding when you're holding a beautiful woman in your arms.

So I've been colder than I've ever been, tried deer meat for the first time, pickled fish for the first time, been in the smallest town I've ever stayed in, and first time I've ever played with a hooey stick.

We leave in 13 hours.

North dakota

It took 28 years and meeting the most beautiful woman in the world but I finally made it to north dakota. When we pulled up it was -6 degrees. The coldest weather I have ever been in. Before we left I made sure to buy some long extention cords so I can plug in my engine to warm it before starting it. I also got a tow line in case I get stuck. It took us just under 16 hours to make the drive. Oh yeah, we passed a place called Danzig. Jennifers dad said like one guy lives there and he's a beekeeper. This whole town is 1x1 mile. Crazy. All I have is montana to fill out the continental US. Family.... I should see you tuesday.

new traditions

so here it is, time for xmas again. so here i am, watching elf again. cuddling in front of the tv with the heating blazing like a much safer and hassle free fireplace... i cant imagine spending this lonely tradition with anyone else in the world and i hope shes here to watch it with me forever.

two more days until we leave for the trip... mom, dad, youre sharing your gift this year and dad, sorry but mom is gonna like it more. youll enjoy jennifer more than she will, perv.

for the none of you who dont know...

i spent the evening with my family. thanks to webcams and cellphones we were able to hang out while they (or after they) decorated the tree at my parents house. after using the internet to stay close to jennifer while i was on tour, i was used to it. they all seemed a little giddy and excited. especially my youngest niece. at least now they now how to manage it all and maybe we can stay in touch a little better.

is it just me or do i seem smitten?

so its been a little bit.... but here i go.

we've been staying in a bit. we are both used to a lifestyle of eating out almost every meal. i went grocery shopping and bought things to not just nourish us but to keep us entertained. the other night we had pasta and weve made more pancakes. one of her friends crashed here the other night and we made her breakfast. also, weve been eating peanut butter, butter, and cucumber sandwiches. something she came up with. its not bad at all. i mean.... if you know me you know i love cucumber. she eats black olives like they are grapes which is disgusting. i still cant believe i bought them.

last nite, on the way to visit a friend we went and saw the lights at Rhema Bible Church. i made a mental note "take her to the james center i richmond".

i also bought what is essentially a toy gun but really really really awesome. it shoots plastic BBs. we get together and wear camo suits and shoot at each other. its awesome. it should be here thursday and i will go shoot friends on sunday. wooooooo.

its coming down to the last week. i will be on the road by early early on the 17th and in richmond by the evening of the 23rd. i hope you are all excited. i cant wait to finally share what makes me so happy with everyone at home and a little of home with her.
