24 in 24

So it seems like once they moving, they don't stop. I am barely thru listing my M section and already I am non stop packing envelopes. 24 movies sold in 24 hours. 33 titles in 3 days total. Crazy. I decided I would keep any music titles. Concerts are fun on your sofa. Plus most all of those (metal) aren't on Netflix.

Bry-Mart

So this weeks plan is to become a DVD store. I am one at a time listing my DVD's on Amazon.com for sale. with netflix instant and snail mail; i purchased 0 movies in the last like 6 months. i would go as far as to say that only one out of every 10 movies we watch at home come from my collection.

so as a way to get some room around the apartment cleared, and most importantly to get some extra cash... all movies are going. jennifer asked if we could copy them first and i said no, thats stealing people. STEALING!!!

from scratch

so tonight we cooked. i chopped and boiled and she kneaded. we made knoephla soup. she ate it growing up and i had it or the first time over christmas at her parents. it was good so we made it at home. after the first taste test she decided something was missing. after some googling and re-reading the recipe her mom sent.... hey butter hows it going. why doesnt spell check accept googling as a word?

so cooking from scratch is kinda messy. especially when it involves flour. after a good clean up she decided to introduce me to something called oobleck. well, i wanted no part of it. if you watch this, you will know why....

jealous maybe?

so if youre reading this, you probably know that i have a new family member. judah. my youngest sister had him surgically removed the other day. already i have been replaced. my oldest sister called his the sweetest boy ever. dammit. my 28 year reign is over.

man, is that really it? is that all i have to say? wow.

nature boy

so not only have the birds started showing up in pairs and trios to feed on our balcony, geese have appeared and they get our old bread. i would like to have taken a picture of the birds for you but they fly off the second i get close enough to take pictures. geese just dont seem to care.

 

stumble upon

so there is a website called stumbleupon.com and it just takes you to random websites. you can also select your stumbles by subject. ive done beer, heavy metal, xbox, i have even tried some religious topics... namely atheism. while stumbling a few minutes ago i came across this paraphrased pile of verses on a website called 101 contradictions in the bible....

We should fear God (Matthew 10:28)
We should love God (Matthew 22:37)
There is no fear in love (1 John 4:18)

i went to an online bible and read the full verses from 3 different versions to make sure they were not taken out of context. they weren't. can anyone explain this? if i were drawing a flow chart of logical things said, this would not make a circle. i need it to make a circle. maybe its lost in translations... do our english words not work well with greek? this one seems a little too obvious to be an actual contradiction right?

so we went to the home depot today and heard parts of the movie old school in my head as we shopped for some things for the apartment.

i must admit, for a very small price, i feel a little more at home and a little more like we are here for good. a nice peace lily in the corner, a little bird feeder full and ready to feed hanging on the balcony that is now home to two white chairs and a little table between them. we also got a little tiny white plant for a pot that i purchased a month or so ago. simple, but nice. certainly things that i would have never bought without the hints and nudges of a beautiful woman.

In case I didn't tell you, I got a new phone. A BlackBerry.

There has been a ton of rain in Tulsa over the past few days.

My friend Mike will be in town tonight.

I am experiencing far more candles that ever before.

Someone close to me has very different taste in art.

Garbage disposals are awesome.

Our mailbox and dumpster are both way way way too far from our front door. Especially in this weather.
