so i bought the new Iron Maiden movie Flight 666. i locked myself in my hotel room today and watched it. god damn it i love those men. it amazes me how HUGE they are and still fly under the radar in the US. i wouldnt care if it was on mainstream radio and mtv non stop with nothing else playing. at least i would know the whole world was happy.
i went to radio shack, got some parts and built a little switching box for my tuner station, bought a 6 pack of Stoudts and i will be paying close attention to digital video enemies in a little while. i ate a huge lunch at some crappy chinese buffett so i pretty much know that i don't have to leave for anything. just a quick stroll down the hall for fresh ice. now for the xbox. such a great day.
I'm a jammin' dude and I need a jammin' way to get all my jammin' thoughts and happenings out. I don't care about punctuation or spelling or much other than hot dogs and beer and xbox. Thanks.

nothing really great to say.
so i rarely take my laptop out of the bag these days. i have been thinking about leaving it at home next tour, possibly getting a netbook.
i had some time off in DC this week and the highlight was certainly catching up with my high school pal Ben. that was awesome. we got tanked and talked about google and video games. real dude stuff. the show in dc was awesome too. i got to see the guy who actually referred me for this pete your tour.
hanson dates were released yesterday. so now i know what i am doing until at least mid november....
Hanson Fall Tour
now i just have to figure out winter. maybe take some time off. not too much though. i learned my lesson this past year. oh yeah, happy birthday sister.

the first day off.
so its the first day off on the Pete Yorn tour. we did three shows and for no practice at all, i think they are going really freakin well. i am really happy to be out on the road. ive met 12 new dudes that, hopefully, will all become good friends. well, that is if things like everyone else prefers playstation and mac dont get in the way. i am the only PC user on the bus and of the 4 admitted gamers, they all have playstation. and i am surrounded by iphones. our production manager has a blackberry. so at least i have that in common with someone.
i have been recognized as the hanson guy from two of the local crews that we have worked with this week. everyone calls me bryan on this tour. thats a little weird. never once been called bryan while inside a tour bus. i didnt know any of these guys before and they were all introduced to me thru email and paperwork before we met. they had adjusted to bryan before i could ever work in "muff".
i think that may be all for now. i have my xbox hooked up and need to play some. it feels lonely. it hasnt really been touched since i left richmond.
bye bye

hello old friend.
days go by, i get older, blogger looks the same age. what age defying cream do you use blogger?
man. i moved back and my life went NUTS! i thought i was going to have a lot of time off and i was really really wrong. i have had like three days off. and now i am in tulsa. go figure.
i went to work early on the 25th. mj died. home and sleep for a few hours. back to work and this time for three full days. home and sleep for a few hours. hop in a plane and go to phoenix and then as soon as i get there hop in a van and drive to denver. watch carbon leaf (for money) at red rocks. sleep for a couple of hours, hop in a plane to virginia. sleep a lot. ok, i should elaborate on the carbon leaf story. they needed someone to drive their van 16 hours overnight so that they could fly and make a radio show before the red rocks deal. me and chris (their lighting and monitor guy) attacked the gas pedal as soon as the monday night show was over. we went full force. only stopping for gas and snacks from the same gas station. as the drive was coming to an end, so was our fuel. about 20 miles from the destination the gas light came on. i kinda suggested a gas station... like the one on the exit for the venue. he said push on, we were late as it was. so i pushed on. well, as we were driving up the last 1/4 mile, we ran out of gas. we were on a HUGE incline. the van started rolling backwards even with all the brakes on. i navigated it down the hill and we cross loaded everything into pickup trucks. YAY!!! (now fast forward to when i was back in va). one day off, work the 3rd and 4th and fly from richmond to tulsa yesterday. wow. almost no time off at all.
all of that sucked. i mean, money is awesome and i made plenty of it. but the travel sucked. i slept so little and did so much. i got to see very little of my friends, but i did see many and it felt good. very good. that should be reward enough for work for most people, but im greedy. relaxation and quality time with loved ones was just not enough. i went and got myself a PSP. play station portable for you boring people. on the flights to tulsa i played video games and watched movies and it was awesome. it made the 4+ hours of flight feel like 20 minutes.
so now i am back here in tulsa, in "my" apartment for two days. so far it has been very very special. you probably know why. after the two days is up i leave for a new job. pete yorn. google him, look him up, check out the tour dates. maybe we can hang out.
hope your life is half as cool as mine. bye bye.
